Born in Wadena, Minnesota, I grew up right here in Bemidji, often with a racquet in hand at my father’s business, Exercise Dynamics, on the north side of town. At 12, my family moved to Ohio, where I later attended The Ohio State University. I eventually transferred to the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, studying Urban Forestry and Landscape Design.
My career ultimately took me in a different direction—into branding, marketing, design, and business development. With more than 20 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of helping more than 250 businesses build stronger brands, create professional websites, and grow through strategic marketing.
In 2004, I founded Make It A Great Day, Inc.®, where I spent more than two decades partnering with businesses across the country. From branding and graphic design to website development, digital advertising, and marketing strategy, I helped businesses turn ideas into brands that connect with their customers and stand out in competitive markets.
After many years away, I returned home to Minnesota in 2026, moving back to Bemidji from Vancouver, Washington. I founded Bemidji Marketing with a simple mission: bring big-agency experience and personalized service to businesses throughout Bemidji and Northern Minnesota.
Coming back to Bemidji has given me the opportunity to combine my years of marketing experience with my connection to the community where I grew up. I’m excited to work with local entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and established organizations to help them build memorable brands, attract new customers, and achieve long-term success.

Choosing Bemidji wasn’t just a business decision—it was coming home. After years away, I was drawn back by the beauty, character, and sense of community that make Northern Minnesota so special. At the same time, Bemidji has a unique energy and personality of its own. Downtown Bemidji feels like a true Northwoods destination, with local events, live music, art walks, festivals, dragon boat races, and gatherings that bring people together throughout the year. It’s a place where you can spend the morning on the lake, enjoy a beautiful sunset in the evening, and still find something happening downtown. I came back to Bemidji because it’s more than a beautiful place—it’s home, and it’s a community I’m proud to be part of.
